Metallic blue HM PK

The Sire is a strong-bodied royal blue HM PK with a nice broad dorsal. His anal is nicely parallel. The caudal has a nice 180 degree spread but the corners of the caudal ideally should be sharper. The Dame is metallic blue HM PK bred by my friend Donny Adriaens from Belgium. Her caudal shows a great shape and nicely compensates that of the male. The pedigree of both fish does show some overlap.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, broad dorsals and quality finnage in my iridescent HM PK line. The offspring (F1) will be metallic blue HM PKs which a chance of melano blacks popping up.

The Sire is also Father of BT170111.

01/01/11: The pair spawned!
02/01/11: The fry has hatched!
04/01/11: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed. The fry is already feeding on newly hatched BBS.
26/02/11: The fry is now 8 weeks old.

18/03/11: The fry is now 11 weeks old. Spotted several males!

05/06/11: The youngsters are now 22 weeks old. They still need some work but defenitely do show some nice potential to work further with.

27/07/11: The fry is now 29 wks old.

26/08/11: Two fish of this spawn, one male and one female, were send to the Holland Betta Show 2011, the Netherlands. One of them won a prize in her showclass:
