The Sire is big cambodian-based extended red HMPK bred by my friend Arie de Koning. The Sire has a big and strong body (topline could be a bit smoother). The caudal fin has 180 degree spread with a smooth appearance and straight outer rays but the corners ideally could be sharper. The dorsal fin has a broad base with the front nicely directed forward. The anal fin is in good proportion to the rest of the finnage and the ventral fins have a single tips with a good volume. The Dame is a darkbody extended red with a strong, long body, smooth topline and balanced finnage. She might be carrying orange as two of her siblings where orange.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be HMPK. Colorwise there likely will be dark- and lightbody reds with with a chance of and orange to pop-up. 

02/09/16: The pair spawned.
03/09/16: The fry hatched, seems like a big spawn. The Sire is taking excellent care!

05/09/16: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
06/05/16: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
09/06/16: There is a nice mix of dark- and lightbodied fry and spotted several DTs!

05/11/16: Overview of 9 week old fry!

14/12/16: Jarred the first two males at 15 weeks of age.

08/01/17: The same two males now 18 weeks old.

13/01/17: Some more jarred reds!

08/02/17: Two darkbody red HMPK male, 23 weeks old!

01/04/17: 30 weeks old!

15/04/17: Two special siblings, a DTPK and a Tutweiler marble HMPK, now 32 weeks old!

26/04/17: Three males from this spawn were send to the 9th Betta Freaks Show in Kalkar, Germany.
All three won a prize!
- 1st place M4 DTPK male class - All Colors.
- 2nd M2 Asymmetrical HMPK male class - Unicolor non-iridescent.
- 5th M2 Asymmetrical HMPK male class - Lightbody Marble.

09/07/17: Darkbody red HMPK breeder female at 44 weeks of age.
