The Sire is an intense colored & full mask turquoise HMPK with a strong body and balanced finnage. The dame is a royal blue HMPK with nice torpedo-shaped body and balanced finnage. Ideally the dorsal in both fish could have a bit more volume. Sire and Dame are siblings.  

With this outcross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F2) will be from non-metallic turquoise and royal blue with a chance of black lace, red wash and marble to pop up.

02/09/23: The pair spawned.
03/09/23: The fry hatched. Seems like a big spawn! The Sire is taking excellent care of the fry in the bubblenest.

05/09/23: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.
08/09/23: The fry are feeding well on vinegar eels and newly hatched BBS.
