The Sire is a darkbody HMPK with a nice intense red color. Ideally the mouth-to-dorsal topline could be a bit smoother. The Sire has a nice D-shaped caudal although the outer rim could be a bit smoother. The front rays of the dorsal are nicely directed forward but the base ideally could be broader. The anal is nicely trapezoid-shaped. The ventrals are nicely shaped. The Dame is a cambodian-based intense red HMPK with minimal traces of iridescence, a nice bodyshape and balanced finnage.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be light- and darkbody red HMPK. There is a chance of marble to pop up.

03/05/18: The pair spawned.
04/05/18: The fry hatched. Looks like a nice amount of fry!
07/05/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
14/07/18: 10 weeks old. There are both light- and darkbodied fry. Moved and divided the fry over two grow-out tanks based on size together with spawn BT100518 (The yellows in this picture are from the other spawn).

20/07/18: First red HMPK male jarred at 11 weeks!

24/08/18: Two promising red HMPK brothers at 16 weeks of age!

09/11/18: Promising red HMPK brothers & sisters at 27 weeks of age!

17/03/19: Siblings at 42 weeks old.
