The Sire is a black lace metallic steel blue CTPK and was a gift of Markus Bache from Germany. The Sire has a very strong body and balanced appearance with a great character. The reduction in webbing still needs a lot of improvement but one of his brothers became 1st placed at the IBC show in Friedrichshafen. Interesting to know is the fact that the father of this male is a full brother to the father of the female. The Dame is a metallic multi combtail PK which I suspect to be steel blue based. The reduction in her webbing still needs quite some improvement but shw has a nice broad dorsal. 
This cross was made to further experiment with CTPKs. With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, broad dorsals and improve the reduction in webbing. The offspring (F1) will  most likely will be (metallic) blue/red bicolors. They will be shortfinned with a varying reduction in webbing in the unpaired fins.

04/04/12: The pair spawned!

05/04/12: The fry hatched.
08/04/12: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
10/04/12: The fry is feeding well on BBS.
13/05/12: The fry is now 5 weeks old. Spotted some coppers and fish with impressive dorsals!

19/05/12: The fry is now 6 weeks old.

29/05/12: The fry are now 8 weeks old and were moved to a bigger grow-out tank.
02/06/12: 9 weeks old.

20/07/12: Two newly jarred fish now 15 weeks old.

24/07/12: Two more fish of this spawn. I personally love the appearance of the fish on the right.

03/08/12: Found a stunning young male in my dripsystem with a great potential! Without any doubt the best fish in the direction of CTPK I have bred so far.

25/10/12: Nice combtail female, now 29 weeks old. Love her strong body and smooth topline.
