The Sire is a red HM PK with a strong, full body with a strong peduncle. The finnage is nicely balanced. The Dame is a red PK with a strong, full body and impressive broad dorsal. Sire and Dame are half-siblings as both fish share the same mother. With this cross I hope to improve the width of the dorsal in my red PK line.
he offspring (F1) will be cambodian based red HM PKs with a chance of HM DTs popping up.

05/11/09: The pair spawned!
06/11/09: The fry hatched.
08/11/09: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed.
14/11/09: The fry is feeding well on artemia/BBS. This is a relatively small spawn as there are about 15-20 fry.
28/11/09: There are about 20 fry left which are now 3 weeks old. Some of them already start to show some color in their finnage.

28/12/09: The fry is now 7 weeks old and developing nicely. I spotted a few fry with nice broad dorsals.

13/01/10: The fry is 8.5 weeks old. The first males start to pop-up.

26/03/10: The fry is now 20 weeks old and are all jarred. One male by far is the best of the spawn (left picture, below), but it seems there are some promising females in this spawn as well.
