The Sire is a royal blue HMPK with good bodyshape, a broad based dorsal which is nicely directed forward, a nice shaped anal fin and nicely matching ventrals. The caudal is spreading >180 degrees but ideally could have a more smooth appearance. The dame is a full-mask royal blue HMPK with an amazing color and promising finnage.

With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be from non-metallic turquoise, royal blue and steel blue based HMPK with a chance of red wash and marble to pop up.

05/02/22: The male build an impressive nest!

06/02/22: The pair spawned, looks like a nice clutch of eggs in the nest.

08/02/22: The fry hatched.
10/02/22: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.
22/04/22: The fry are now 11-weeks old! As expected the fry are  turquoise, royal blue and steel blue based fish.
