The Sire is a darkbody HMPK with a nice intense red color and minimal iridescence. His form shows a nice potential but there are some points to work on: Ideally the mouth-to-dorsal topline could be a bit smoother, the dorsal could be a bit more voluminous, the anal is nicely trapezoid-shaped but ideally could be a bit longer. The ventrals have a good length and volume but have a better shape with more distinct tips. The Dame is a cambodian-based intense yellow HMPK with minimal traces of iridescence, a good bodyshape and balanced finnage. Ideally the base of the dorsal fin could be a bit broader.
With this cross I hope to fix the intense color, the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage.
The offspring (F1) likely will be dark- and lightbody red HMPK which will be carrier for yellow.

11/03/19: The pair spawned.
12/03/19: The fry hatched. Looks like a very small spawn.
14/03/19: Removed the Sire, the fry has entered the free-swimming stage.
22/04/19: The four fry are 6 weeks old! Two are lightbody and two are darkbody reds.
