The Sire is steel blue HMPK which with a nice D-shaped caudal fin and broad-based dorsal. The Dame is steel blue HMPK with a strong body and balanced finnage. Sire and Dame are half-siblings as they share the same mother.
With this outcross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be steel blue and royal blue fish with a chance of black lace, black melano and/or marble to pop up.

17/11/18: The pair spawned.
18/11/18: The fry hatched.
20/11/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
28/11/18: The fry are feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.

23/02/19: All fry are steel blue based and now 14 weeks old. Happy to see some melano blacks popped up.

31/05/19: Promising steel blue HMPK female at 28 weeks of age.

25/06/19: One male and one female from this spawn were send to the National Betta Show in Solihull - United Kingdom, both won a prize:
- 1st M2 HMPK male class - Unicolor Iridescent.
- 2nd F2/F3 Halfmoon plakat female class - Unicolor.
