Darkbody yellow VT

The Sire is darkbody yellow VT with an intense yellow color, minimal iridescence and nicely shaped finnage. The Dame is a darkbody red VT with a smooth topline and nice shaped finnage.
With this outcross I hope to fix the intense color with minimal iridescence as well as the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be VT. The offspring (F1) likely will be dark- and lightbody red with a chance of orange and/or yellow to pop up.

17/12/18: The pair spawned.
18/12/18: The fry hatched, seems like spawn of 20-30 fry.
19/12/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
23/12/18: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.

17/03/19: The fry are light- and darkbody based reds. They are now 13 weeks old and I have jarred the first males have been jarred last week.

02/05/19: Some 19 week old red VT males.

25/06/19: Two red VT females from this spawn were send to the National Betta Show in Solihull - United Kingdom, one won a prize:
- 1st F6 Veiltail female class - All Colors.

24/08/19: Two red VT females from this spawn were send to the Holland Betta Show 2019 in Arcen, the Netherlands. Both won a prize:
- 1st F6 Veiltail female class - All Colors.
- 2nd F6 Veiltail female class - All Colors.
