The Sire is a metallic steel blue HMPK with a strong body and smooth topline. The caudal fin has a >180 degree spread but the webbing is a bit too extensive. The dorsal has a pretty good shape but the front rays ideally could be a bit longer and the anal fin could have a better trapezoid shape. The ventrals have a good length and volume with single tips. The Dame is a metallic blue HMPK with a nice torpedo shaped body, smooth topline and balanced finnage. She has a nice broad-based doral fin, good caudal spread and nice shaped anal fin.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage.
The offspring (F1) will be (metallic) blue HMPKs with a chance of red wash popping up.

19/03/14: The fry hatched. Seems to be a small spawn.
21/03/14: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
13/07/14: 17 weeks old, colorsurprises!

05/09/14: 24 weeks old. Love this male (left picture, below)!

21/12/14: Found another nice male of this spawn now 32 weeks old. He is not directly a top show fish, but has some characteristics I really want to work with.

29/03/15: This female is now 54 weeks old. This female was send to the European IBC convention in Friedrichshafen and became 2nd Show Plakat Female, Reserve Best of Variety Shortfin Female & Reserve Best of Show Female.
