The Sire is a darkbodied CT with amazing finnage. His color is intense red with minimal blue iridescence. The Dame is a red HM PK with  nice broad dorsal from my 100th spawn.
With this cross I would like to initiate a new project in my fishroom, the creation of a crowntail plakat line. I chose a female of my own HMPK line to induce strong body and a broad dorsal. Her finnage shows moderate branching with some slight combtail features.
The offspring (F1) will most likely be most likely longfinned (PK carrier) darkbody red with a varying reduction in webbing.

20/03/11: The pair spawned!
21/03/11: The fry has hatched! Looks like a huge spawn!!

23/03/11: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed. The fry is already feeding on newly hatched BBS.

03/04/11: The fry is feeding well on BBS and growing nicely!

11/04/11: The fry is now 3 weeks old. Here a picture of one corner of the tank to show you how big this spawn is.

08/05/11: The fry is now 7 weeks old and divided over 2 small grow-out tanks. Some fry already is starting to show some red color and there are some fry with very nice broad dorsals.

20/05/11: The fry is now 9 weeks old and developing nicely. The red color has become more intense and there are already some slight reductions in webbing visible in their finnage.

29/05/11: 10 weeks old

05/06/11: 11 weeks old. Spotted one young male of which the finnage really starts to develop in length now:

14/06/11: 12 weeks old. Here two picutures of the first male I have jarred:

12/07/11: The youngsters are now 17 weeks old. I am positively surprised about the amount of reduction in webbing in all three unpaired fins of the youngsters in this spawn. The males do show some curling in the finnage but in my opinion show a great potential to work further with. The females of this spawn almost have the appearance of full CTs.

30/07/11: 21 weeks old.

15/08/11: Made some pictures of two females, now 21 weeks old:

26/08/11: Two CT females of this spawn were send to the Holland Betta Show 2011, the Netherlands. One of them won a prize in her showclass:
3rd Crowntail female class - All Colors

12/09/11: Late developing male now 25 weeks old:
