The Sire is intense yellow HMPK with a strong body with a smooth topline and balanced finnage. The caudal has a good 180 degree spread, long outer rays and sharp corners, the dorsal is has a nice volume with the front rays nicely directed forward, the anal fin has a good trapezoid shape with matching ventrals. The Dame is a cambodian-based intense red HMPK with minimal traces of iridescence, a nice bodyshape and balanced finnage.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be lightbody red HMPK.

21/05/18: The pair spawned.
22/05/18: The fry hatched. Looks like a nice amount of fry!
24/05/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
14/07/18: 8 weeks old. As expected all fry are lightbodied. Moved the fry to a bigger grow-out tank.

12/01/19: Potential breeder male at 34 weeks of age.
