The Sire is an Royal Blue HMPK with a strong body (ideally the topline could be a bit more smooth). He has a very good dorsal of which the front rays are nicely directed forward. The caudal, anal and ventrals have a good length and volume. The dame is a heterozygous metallic royal blue HMPK with some red wash. She has a nice torpedo-shaped body with a full dorsal and balanced finnage. The Sire and Dame are siblings.
With this outcross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline, broad dorsal and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F2) will be non-metallic, hetero- or homozygous metallic turquoise, steel blue and royal blue with a chance of black lace, red wash and marble to pop up.

25/03/23: The pair spawned.
26/03/23: The fry hatched. Seems like there are 15-20 fry.
28/03/23: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.
02/05/23: 6 weeks old!

08/07/23: 15 weeks old!
