Steel blue HMPK

(Betta Territory, NL)
Sire: Platinum white HMPK

(SiambettafishUK, United Kingdom)
Dame: Steel HMPK
F1, BT171118
(Betta Territory, The Netherlands)

The Sire is a large, strong-bodied platinum white HMPK with a very nice balance, form and voluminous finnage. The dame is a steel blue HMPK with a good bodyshape, a smooth mouth-to-dorsal topline with nicely balanced finnage.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage.
The offspring (F1) likely will be metallic steel blue based HMPK with a chance of black lace, red wash and marble to pop up.

The Dame is also mother of: BT200519A, BT161119B and BT110120A.

27/08/19: The pair spawned.
28/08/19: The fry hatched.
30/08/19: Removed the Sire, the fry has entered the free-swimming stage.

17/11/19: 12 weeks old. All offspring are steel blue-based as expected. Some have started to marble.

22/12/19: Heterogyzous metallic steel blue based HMPK brothers (16 weeks old)!

30/12/19: Four HMPK brothers at 18 weeks of age!

14/02/20: Four HMPK siblings at 24 weeks of age. I really love the appearance of these fish!
