Dame: Darkbody yellow VT

(Betta Territory, The Netherlands)

The Sire is darkbody orange VT with a nice intense red color and minimal iridescence. Ideally the caudal of the Sire could be a bit longer, although this will might occur when he matures further. The Dame is a darkbody yellow, smooth topline and balanced finnage. She is a full sibling to the male.
With this cross I hope to fix the intense color with minimal iridescence as well as the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage.
The offspring (F2) will be VT. The offspring (F1) likely will be dark-, lightbody red, orange and/or yellow with a chance of dalmatians to pop up.

27/11/17: The pair spawned.
28/11/17: The fry hatched. The sire is taking excellent care!
30/11/17: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
02/12/17: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
16/12/17: There are about 20-30 fry feeding developing nicely on BBS.
11/02/18: Some amazing colors this spawn! All fry seem to be dark- or lightbodied orange and yellow. The fry are now 12 weeks old.

03/06/18: 27 week old VT brothers.
