The Sire is a metallic pastel blue HMPK with amazing finnage! He has a very nice D-shaped dorsal with sharp corners. His dorsal is nicely broad (15-ray) and does not show the short front rays we often see in broad dorsaled fish. The sire became 2nd placed in the asymmetrical HMPK male - AOC class at the Holland Betta Show 2011 (click here). The Dame is metallic blue HM PK with a strong body and a nice thick peduncle. Her caudal has a good D-shape, the anal is nicely parallel. Based on her phenotype I am not sure whether these Dame is metallic royal blue or (metallic) turquoise based.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies & quality finnage in my lines.
The offspring (F1) most likely will be darkbodied metallic blue unless the female also is carrying cambodian.
